A gentle Yoga space in
Aurora, Ontario
Simplicity Yoga is currently suspending classes

about

My intention is to provide a gentle Yoga practice that allows individuals to become the truest versions of themselves, through compassionate and relaxing movement, through self-care, and without judgement.
Completing my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training through Sunlilyoga in Richmond Hill in 2015 was a wonderful experience. Under the guidance and supervision of Aida Neves, I learned and followed the principles and philosophy of the Kripalu Yoga tradition.

Patricia has been practicing Kripalu Yoga for over 20 years and has her 200hr teaching certificate. Yoga is an integral part of every aspect of her life. It is the foundation that allows her to be the best she can be. Her gentle, thought provoking, self care approach will inspire her students to live each moment, both on and off the mat, more mindfully.
Heather has been practising Kripalu Yoga for 10 years and has her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training certificate. Her general compassionate and kind nature translates into her Yoga classes. She encourages her students to be their authentic selves and listen to their body by tapping into their intuition both on and off the mat.

Check the class schedule and contact me for a time you wish to attend. You can request a space in any class once the session opens. You may do so either through an e-mail at dave_yee@hotmail.com, or for a faster response, through a text message at (416) 856-9157. Please allow a response from me to confirm your space in a class. The class schedule will be updated weekly. Spaces are given on a 'First Ask, First Get' system. Please read the Terms and Conditions documents for more information.

Our home-based classes are small and can hold six students; students are able to practice in a smaller, more-intimate setting. Unlike large studio spaces, where some people become lost and unable to follow the instructor, the relaxed atmosphere of our classes invite you to release tension, strengthen your body, increase flexibility, relax your mind, and come away with a sense of calm. Holding a safe space for you, and your Yogis is integral to the safe and welcoming atmosphere of my small classes.

Classes are taught in the Kripalu tradition, and run approximately 75 minutes. Kripalu Yoga is a form of Hatha Yoga using inner focus, meditation, standard yoga poses, breathwork, "development of a quiet mind", and relaxation. Kripalu emphasizes "following the flow" of prana, or life-force energy, compassionate self-acceptance, observing the activity of the mind without judgment, and taking what is learned into daily life.

Classes at Simplicity Yoga are not a competition. There are no mirrors in the teaching space for people to compare their form to others, or their idea of what 'proper' form is based on a photograph. We encourage you to listen to your body as it arrives on your mat each and every time, with no attachment to how it was 5 years ago or how you were before. This is why we call it a 'practice'. Every moment on the mat is an invitation to explore.
what people say
"Simplicity Yoga changes my mindset every time I go. It is calm, relaxing, soothing, and tranquil. It's like I'm in my own little world. The atmosphere is just incredible, bringing me awareness, faith and balance within myself. I feel so refreshed and alive afterwards. It turns my day from an okay one to a wonderful one!"
